The apartment in the basement is located in a quiet 6-apartment house, which is located in the preferred district Rotenbühl. The house was extensively renovated in 2020 and the apartment was furnished with special charm and love. At "Wilhelm" you will feel like at home. The accommodation comes up with a special mix of design and art. It was especially important to us that our guests feel completely at home.
Wilhelm offers our guests a home away from home. The apartment is a first-class retreat, offers vacationers of the region an ideal starting point for their ventures and business travelers as well as long-term tenants on time a particularly quiet and preferred location, from which you can be within a few minutes by car in downtown Saarbrücken or the university.
The apartment has its own parking space (parking space No. 4, behind the house, driveway on the right side of the house).

Prices per night (minimum occupancy: 2 nights), including 2 persons, start at 74 euros. We offer interesting special conditions for long-term stays. Our prices are complete prices including VAT and all additional costs, plus the obligatory final cleaning of one-time 80 euros. Additional persons are charged at 19 euros per night and person.

So that you are completely independent and flexible in your arrival, we handle the key handover via a key box with a numerical code that you receive from us upon booking. Even if we do not welcome you personally, we are still there for you by phone or Whatsapp at any time and will be happy to help you if you should need assistance.

Situated quiet and close to the city of Saarbrücken
"Wilhelm" is located in a very quiet and superior district of Saarbrücken, called "Rotenbühl". Rotenbühl is a pure residential area with a good infrastructure, which also has small stores for daily needs (bakery, grocery), a few restaurants as well as a pharmacy and medical doctors. By car it is only a few minutes and you have everything you need either in the city or in the district "Am Homburg" or Mainzerstraße: from butcher's shop and bakery to supermarket (EDEKA) and discounter (Aldi, Lidl). In the apartment there is an up-to-date folder, which informs you about the most important shopping facilities, sights as well as medical help.
The city center of Saarbrücken with the beautiful St. Johanner Markt and its numerous pubs, restaurants and bars as well as its baroque castle with the nearby museums can be reached in less than 10 minutes. Here you can also find the theater, some galleries, the city hall as well as the Moderne Galerie, which offers contemporary art and interesting exhibitions.
For the friends of water and wellness, the family pool Calypso offers a nice break. From Louise it is also a good 10 minutes by car and you dive into a world of relaxation and well-being.
"Zum Adler" - Saarbücken's oldest restaurant - is our tip for guests who prefer original Saarland-Alsatian cuisine. In an unexcited, congenial ambience, it is pleasant to dine here and spend a few nice moments. The clientele is relaxed, liberal, and appreciates a good Chablis rather than fancy chichi.
The St. Johanner Markt also invites you to come and enjoy the numerous culinary offerings. And if a glass more should have flowed, a cab will bring you safely back to the apartment Wilhelm, where you can end a beautiful day and recharge your batteries for an exciting, new day full of experiences in or around Saarbrücken.
Saarbrücken - in the middle of Europe and in the middle of life
The state capital of Saarbrücken can be reached by all common means of transportation, whether by car, bus, train or plane. The most flexible way to travel to Saarbrücken is certainly by car. The road layout is quite simple and there are numerous (paid) parking spaces and buildings available. Wilhelm itself offers with the parking lot number 4 a parking lot belonging exclusively to the apartment, which is behind the house ( driveway on the right side of the house).
Saarbrücken airport is a smaller, regional airport that can be reached in about 20 minutes from the apartment, but Luxembourg airport is also within easy reach and only about 1 hour away.
Saarbrücken is well connected to the German rail network and is also on the Paris-Frankfurt line; it takes only 1:50 h to get to Paris by TGV. The main train station can be reached by cab in about 10 minutes.
The bus and Saarbahn (streetcar) networks are well developed. However, it is only a few minutes walk from the apartment to the next stop. Information is available at www.saarbahn.de
If you want to travel by bike in Saarbrücken, you will also have little difficulty, because in the past the road network has been made more bike-friendly. However, the apartment Wilhelm does not have a lockable storage facility for bicycles!
For friends of e-scooters, the city also offers a proven alternative with the TIER system. Numerous charging stations and a convenient booking system allow modern and flexible movement in Saarbrücken. Information is available here: www.saarbruecken.de
